Publication Ethics
Nusantara Technology Journal (NTJ) is committed to maintaining the highest standards of publication ethics and takes all possible measures against publication malpractice. Authors, reviewers, editors, and editorial board members are expected to comply with these ethical standards.
Section A
Publication and Authorship
- All submitted papers are subject to a strict peer-review process by at least two reviewers who are experts in the relevant field.
- The review process follows the Double-Blind Peer Review method.
- Review criteria include relevance, scientific soundness, significance, originality, readability, and language quality.
- Editorial decisions may include acceptance, acceptance with revisions, or rejection.
- Resubmission after revision does not guarantee acceptance.
- Rejected manuscripts will not be reviewed again.
- Acceptance is subject to legal requirements regarding copyright, plagiarism, and defamation.
- No research may be published in more than one publication.
Section B
Authors’ Responsibilities
- Authors must ensure that submitted manuscripts are original works.
- Authors must confirm that the manuscript has not been previously published.
- Authors must ensure that the manuscript is not under consideration elsewhere.
- Authors are required to participate actively in the peer-review process.
- Authors must provide corrections or retractions when errors are discovered.
- All listed authors must have significantly contributed to the research.
- Authors must ensure that all presented data are authentic and accurate.
- Authors must disclose any potential conflicts of interest.
- Authors must properly acknowledge all sources used in the manuscript.
- Authors must promptly report significant errors found after publication.
Section C
Reviewers’ Responsibilities
- Reviewers must treat manuscripts as confidential documents.
- Reviews should be conducted objectively without personal criticism.
- Reviewers should provide constructive comments supported by clear arguments.
- Reviewers should identify relevant published work not cited by the authors.
- Reviewers should report any substantial similarity with other published works.
- Reviewers must not evaluate manuscripts when conflicts of interest exist.
Section D
Editors’ Responsibilities
- Editors have full authority to accept or reject manuscripts.
- Editors are responsible for maintaining publication quality.
- Editors should consider the needs of authors and readers.
- Editors must safeguard the integrity of the academic record.
- Editors should publish corrections or errata when necessary.
- Editors should understand research funding sources.
- Editorial decisions should be based on originality, significance, clarity, and relevance.
- Editors should preserve reviewer anonymity.
- Editors should ensure compliance with international ethical standards.
- Editors should investigate suspected misconduct thoroughly.
- Editors should not reject manuscripts solely based on suspicion without evidence.
- Editors must prevent conflicts of interest among authors, reviewers, editors, and editorial board members.
