The assessment of loan eligibility constitutes a pivotal procedure within the banking sector, aimed at mitigating the risks associated with non-performing credits. This evaluation typically incorporates multiple determinants, including the applicant’s income, age, and the requested loan quantum. The present investigation seeks to develop a decision support system employing fuzzy logic to appraise customer suitability for bank loans. The adoption of fuzzy methodology is justified by its capacity to accommodate uncertainty and subjective elements inherent in the appraisal process. The input parameters encompass monthly income, customer age, and loan amount, yielding on output that classifies eligibility into categories of ineligibility, conditional consideration, and eligibility. The empirical outcomes demonstrate that the fuzzy system facilitates more adaptable evaluations, thereby approximating the nuances of human judgement in ascertaining bank loan eligibility
