R STUDIO UNTUK PENGAMBILAN KEPUTUSAN BERBASIS DATA: STUDI KASUS ANALISIS DINAMIKA MAHASISWA TI UNIKS

This study aims to analyze the enrollment trends of Computer or Informatics Engineering students at Universitas Islam Kuantan Singingi (UNIKS) while demonstrating the methodological advantages of R Studio in the data analysis process. The research employs a qualitative descriptive approach with a case study design, where historical student data from 2019 to 2023 is processed and analyzed using R Studio. The findings reveal a consistent increase in the number of new students, predominantly from Vocational High Schools, particularly those with a background in Computer and Network Engineering. Conversely, the number of students from general high schools and madrasahs has remained stagnant. The study successfully demonstrates that R Studio offers superior process efficiency, interactive data visualization, and enhanced report presentation compared to conventional methods. The conclusion affirms that R Studio serves as a powerful methodological solution for the Informatics Engineering program at UNIKS to better understand student dynamics and formulate data-driven strategies
